Classification of polishing discs

Classification of polishing discs by material
Wool polishing disc: Wool polishing disc is a traditional cutting material with strong grinding ability and high efficiency, and will leave swirl after grinding. It is generally used for grinding and polishing of ordinary paints, and it should be used with caution when using transparent paints. It is generally divided into white and yellow, and the bottom of the polishing disc is automatically pasted to realize the rapid conversion of the polishing disc. Generally, the white wool polishing disc has strong cutting force and can remove serious defects on the paint surface. It can be used with thicker wax to quickly remove orange peel or modify grinding marks; the cutting force of yellow wool polishing disc is weaker than that of white wool polishing disc, and it is generally used with fine wax to polish. Polish the paint surface to remove coarse wax polishing marks and minor scratches on the paint surface. Maintenance Instructions: Periodically clean the fleece cover with a brush or air jet to remove wax. If the wool disc cover is blocked during operation, it should be removed and a clean wool disc cover should be installed to continue grinding. At the same time, the used wool disc cover should be dried, and after drying, rinse it with a comb brush. Note that warm water must be used for rinsing, never use hot water, strong alkaline detergent or solvent for rinsing. Only use the gentle gear when washing in a washing machine. It is usually air dried, preferably not machine dried.
Sponge polishing disc: its cutting force is weaker than that of wool polishing disc, it will not leave swirl, and can effectively remove the defects of medium paint surface. The back of the polishing disc has self-adhesive, which can quickly change the polishing wheel. It can be used for grinding and polishing of ordinary paint and transparent paint of the car body, and is generally used for polishing and waxing after the wool polishing disc. It is recommended that the speed of the polishing machine be 1 500-2 500 r/rain, not more than 3 000 r/min. Sponge polishing discs can generally be divided into the following three types according to their colors: Yellow discs: generally used as grinding discs, which are hard and used to eliminate oxide films or scratches. White disc: generally used as a polishing disc, which is soft and delicate, and is used to eliminate hair scratches or polish. Black plate: generally used as a restoration plate, soft and soft, suitable for polishing the body with transparent paint and restoring ordinary paint. Sponge polishing discs can be divided into the following three types according to the shape: straight cut type: fast speed, large heat energy, flexible, and the diameter x thickness is 152.4 mm x 50.8 mm. Flat-cut type: large area, good heat dissipation, relatively stable, diameter × thickness size is 203.2 inln × (25.4 ~ 50.8) mm. Corrugated type: the working fluid is not easy to splash, and the size of diameter × thickness is 203.2 mm × (25.4 ~ 38.1) mm.
